LOCTITE 248 Threadlocker 19g

LOCTITE® 248 is a general-purpose threadlocker with medium-strength bonding. The product is available in a convenient adhesive stick form. This threadlocker can secure screws, nuts, and rivets, preventing loosening due to vibration. It works on all types of metals, including passive surfaces such as stainless steel, aluminum, and galvanized surfaces. The product is proven to resist minor contamination from industrial oils, such as motor oils, corrosion inhibitors, and cutting fluids.

The stick formula ensures easy application and prevents dripping.
It prevents loosening of parts exposed to vibration, such as pumps, gearboxes, and presses.
It bonds to all surfaces, including passive ones (e.g., stainless steel, aluminum, coated surfaces).
It allows for disassembly of parts using hand tools.

Usage suggestions:

1. Cleaning: Before applying the adhesive, it is recommended to degrease and clean the surfaces with Loctite 7063.

2. Activator: If the curing speed is slow due to temperature (below 5°C) or passive metals, using Loctite 7240 or Loctite 7649 activator is advised.

3. Adhesion: Apply the liquid product to the threads to be secured.

• Blind holes: Apply the adhesive to the lower third of the hole’s circumference.

• Through holes: First, assemble the part, then apply the threadlocker to the screw.
